Regal Princess is one of Princess Cruises' newest and biggest ship. A sister vessel to Royal Princess, she debuted in 2014 and currently offers sailings from two US ports, in addition to sailings from some European ports. 

Current itineraries include seasonal sailings from Ft. Lauderdale to the Eastern, Southern and Western Caribbean; from Galveston, Texas to the Western Caribbean; and sailings from Southampton, England.

(Note that itineraries are subject to change, as Princess Cruises re-positions its ships.)

This ship is massive, featuring an expanded atrium and piazza area with places for eating, shopping, lounging and entertainment.

The Regal offers Italian-inspired restaurants, an award-winning spa, the Sanctuary for adults only, the amazing Seawalk - a glass-bottom corridor overhanging portions of the upper deck and so much more.

There is also dedicated space for your children and teenagers to have their own fun.

What A Regal Princess Family Getaway Offers

Your Regal Princes family getaway package is somewhat all-inclusive. 

Upon paying your cruise fare, you are entitled to the following:

1. Accommodations - Choose from the least expensive inside cabin to the most expensive suite cabin.

All oceanview cabins have private balconies. There are about 40 suites onboard, from which to choose.

2. Dining - Get all your meals at one of three main dining rooms or the Horizon Buffet. Grab snacks at the International Cafe, pizzeria, or poolside grill.

3. Entertainment & Activities - Choose from several things to do aboard the Regal Princess - kids' and teens' centers, golf putting and lawn games, chill at the pools, a fitness center, duty-free shopping boutiques, Sports Central, Movies Under the Stars at poolside, relaxing lounges, the library, art gallery, the casino, night clubs and enjoy outstanding evening performances at the Princess Theater.

4. Ports of Call - Your cruise will get you to several exciting places in the Caribbean, New England or Europe. Imagine unpacking your luggage once and visiting three or more new places and getting back onboard to a relaxing evening.

In addition to the things above included in your cruise fare, you will be charged a daily gratuity amount per person.

You also have the option of eating at a specialty restaurant onboard and buying specialty drinks at bars. You will also pay to play at the casino, use the Internet Cafe, pay for photos, stay at the adult-only Sanctuary, or use the award-winning Lotus Spa.

Getting To Port For Regal Princess Family Getaway

If you are getting to your U.S. cruise port by air, then note the following:

1. Ft. Lauderdale Cruise Port - You may fly into the Ft. Lauderdale or Miami International Airport. 

The former airport is closer, but you may fly into Miami and pay for transfer service.

The cruise port address is: 1850 Eller Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 (a general address which gets you to the terminals).

2. Galveston Cruise Port: 

Port Address: 123 25th Street, Galveston, TX 77550

Galveston Cruise Terminal's nearest airport is the William P. Hobby International Airport (HOU - Houston Hobby Airport), which is about 42 miles from the Port of Galveston.

Your best transfer option is by taxi.

3. Driving to your port? Use one of the addresses above as a guide.

Pre or Post-Hotel Stay For Your Family Cruise Vacation

If you are cruising and have to fly into your cruise port, it is always recommended that you plan to stay at a hotel before or after your cruise.

This gives you the perfect opportunity to explore your port city and it ensures that you get to your ship the next day on time and quite refreshed.
