My first Holland America Line cruise was a 4-night Caribbean cruise experience aboard the Eurodam. It was certainly a journey of comfort, relaxation, and indulgence.

This 4-night Holland America cruise sailed from Ft. Lauderdale to The Bahamas. It was originally scheduled to visit Bimini and Nassau and that was changed to Half Moon Cay and Nassau.

Eventually, poor weather forced us to spend a night in Nassau. Despite the missed port/s, it was a lovely cruise sailing.

Additionally, towels are readily available for the lounge chairs on the open decks, so you can relax and soak up the sun without wondering who might have been in that chair before you.

Your stateroom on the Eurodam is designed with your comfort in mind. Spacious, elegantly appointed, and equipped with all the modern amenities you need, your cabin becomes a home away from home.

Plush bedding, ample storage, sufficient outlets, and thoughtful touches like nightly turndown service ensure that you have a restful and rejuvenating stay.

I was pleased with the size of the cabin and the bathroom. There was enough space in the latter for my wife and I to be in there at the same time. 

This is unlike other cruise lines, where two persons cannot fit comfortably in the bathroom.

We were in a balcony cabin, but Eurodam boasts other kinds of cabins such as interior rooms, oceanview cabins, and suites.

Exciting Ports of Call

While the weather may sometimes alter the planned itinerary, the Eurodam ensures that your time in port is always enjoyable.

On this particular cruise, the ship was slated to visit Half Moon Cay and Nassau. Although weather conditions forced an overnight stay in Nassau, the vibrant culture, stunning beaches, and exciting excursions in this Bahamian capital provided plenty of opportunities for adventure and exploration. 

To be frank, we have visited Nassau multiple times (two times already this year). However, we did something new - visiting the Queen's Staircase on one day and the beach next day.

We made the most of our extended stay in Nassau.

The service in the buffet restaurant was noticeably superb. There were wait-staff ready to get us a drink or anything else. There were also behind food displays graciously serving several items.

I began by sharing that this cruise was my first one with Holland America Line. I can honestly say that I am ready to sail with them again.
