I spent 8 nights in January 2018 on a cruise to Noumea and Mystery Island. The good points were the food, with the exception of many hot dishes being cold. Mystery Island & Lifou Island were worthy of visiting. The balcony was more spacious than on some other lines. The Ice Show was excellent. Carol Baxter's talks were excellent.
The not so good points: the poor quality of linen and pillows in the staterooms (please throw out the pilled sheets); being frequently asked to vacate our tables quicker to cater for the crowd in the Windjammer Restaurant; having to ask for more chocolate sachets and plain tea bags in the Windjammer on several occasions;
the inability to hear and understand some loudspeaker announcements; inability of several staff members to communicate in easily understood English, particular the front line customer service person; being told to stop my putt putt game with my grandchildren, to allow an adult putt putt tournament to commence; constant hard sell on alcohol packages; fine dining and book the next cruise; and, advertising the alcohol package at a set price per day without disclosing that you had to take a 7 day package is misleading.
No daubers available for bingo on day one - what a joke!
To finish off, I have to say that with the exception of a small number of staff members, the attitude of the staff was one of indifference. Customer service was lacking across the board.
I have cruised with other lines in the past, but will not cruise with Royal Caribbean again.
